Before cutting the glass cutting machine, the operator can set the cutting speed of the glass cutting machine. In order to achieve the best cutting quality, there is an optimal cutting speed range between different operating speeds. The range can be selected based on the device description or determined through experiments. Due to the thickness and quality of the material itself, the cutting speed varies with changes in melting point, thermal conductivity, and surface tension after melting.


1. Increasing the cutting speed appropriately can improve the quality of the incision, even if the incision is slightly narrow, the surface of the incision is smooth, and the deformation is small.

When the cutting speed is too fast, the cutting line energy cannot be lower than the required value. The jet inside the cutting seam cannot immediately blow away the melted cutting fluid, which will create significant resistance. As debris hangs on the incision, the surface quality of the incision decreases.

When the cutting speed is too low, as the cutting point is the anode of the plasma arc, in order to maintain the stability of the arc itself, the anode point or anode area must find conductive current near the cutting seam closest to the arc, which will transfer more heat. Enlarge the incision in the radial direction of the jet. The materials melted on both sides of the incision aggregate and solidify at the bottom edge, while the slag accumulates and solidifies at the bottom edge, forming a hard to clean slag. The upper edge of the incision melts into a rounded corner due to excessive heating.

When the speed is very low, the arc will disappear due to the wide cut. It can be seen that good cutting quality and cutting speed are inseparable.
